Regrettably, we will no longer be in the Humana network effective Jan 16, 2010. For several years Humana reduced reimbursement to physicians and other providers of medical services. The latest contract negotiations with Humana produced an offering that was unacceptable for us to continue to provide you - our patients - the level of care you deserve.
Please discuss with your provider the options of continuing to see him or her out of network. We will work with each patient to insure our continued relationship.
We also encourage you to contact your HR department. Tell them what happened, and please encourage them to contact Humana and tell them as a customer that you want a fair contract for your physician.
We have seen this work successfully in the past, when YOU the end customer - speaking through your HR department - tell the insurer that you expect them to pay a fair compensation to the providers of your medical care.
